When you see 9000 on a product, it usually implies that it is the ultimate version of something. This record is the ultimate version of the yes yes yalls. We created and recorded and processed it entirely independently, in bedrooms and kitchens and bathrooms in a part of new jersey that you never knew existed.
We named the tracks numerically to subconsciously reinforce that this is a not just a collection of songs, but a complete album. When you hear 5000, you know it's track 5 in the sequence.
We have tailored this record for many situations: for you to have a dance party in the kitchen while cleaning the house, for other people to hear leaking out your headphones at the gym, for road trips, graduation parties, and homework. It's a concept album based on a car we used to drive around in. We mixed it to sound its best in a car. Make sure whatever you do, roll down the windows and rock the beats LOUD.
